Hi, I just wanted to make a discussion to talk about the upcoming Spring term since I don't see anyone talking about it yet.
I have questions for people in the Program, is it true that Central is the only location from now on?
Also you guys can talk about your stats here but I want to know if any current students think id have any chance of getting in with my stats:
Haven't taken the TEAS yet but for Grades I have a A in everything, but for ENC1101 I have a C, for stats I have a B, and for micro lab I may or may not have a B ( it might be an A after posting here but IDK).
Overall GPA right now is a 3.5 but thats in general not my science score.
From practice tests and studying I can only hope that for the TEA's I might get a 85% or higher overall (honestly I am fine with everything but math.... my English grade is because I'm lazy and that was before I decided to do nursing)
Every time you talk to someone or hear things it's always people saying "the programs so competitive don't even apply since you won't get in."
I don't want to be the best of the best I just want some hope on if someone thinks I might get in.
Also please use this as a place to discuss admissions for Spring 2026, even if we don't make it I think it would be great to see what grades and scores they do want.

Also, I heard the number accepted is closer to 40. Crazy competitive which is why I decided to have a backup. I can't afford to wait another full year until next fall.
Do you know of anyone that received an acceptance?
I received the email Friday night close to 9ish. On Halloween! Sure scared the hell out of me LOL but wow 40?! Sheesh. If you don't mind, what are your backup options? I have been searching and searching and I haven't found anything that is similar in costs to BC for ASN. I don't have a bachelors so unfortunately I can't apply to accelerated tracks either.
as of right now, I haven't heard of anyone who received an acceptance.
I'm looking into MDC right now, and it lokks like I have to take two extra prerequisites for their program. I haven't heard of anyone getting denied by them. I'm looking into their acceleratated ASN program since I already have a bachelor's degree. It's 11 months long, 18 credits the first semester and 12 over the last two semesters.

A bit of a commute from North Broward, but I figured it'd be worthwhile since its only 11 months.

Wow only 40 people is just crazy!! Did you hear this number from the school or from people who are currently in the program?
I also haven't heard of anyone that's received an acceptance yet, and I'm not surprised, especially with such a low acceptance rate.

I only have one backup and it's not BC prices - LOL. I applied to NSU entry BSN because its only 5 semesters for the BSN. Buts is 39K annual just for the tuition and not including fees, books, etc. Plus NSU has additional requirements to BC because its a BSN.
For ADN you could look at Miami Dade? It's too far for me, but it's a good program!

MDC lists their Generic - RN program as $8,511.84, which is a little over $5,000 cheaper than BC. If it works for you logistically, I'd give them a shot.

I heard it from ppl at the school that interact w/ nursing dept.(not the program specifically). Also, If you look at the classes that are starting in Jan, it's a pretty dead giveaway.
The first classes you are supposed to take are pharmacology (HSC1149) and Math topics for health related professions (MTB1370). The Pharmacology class is only one class, it starts 1/5, it is offered in central only, and it only has 40 seats.

Wow that is absolutely insane. What is the point of having the program then? I wonder if they are addressing these issues, if more space will eventually open up for future terms? So much unknowns and no answers from the staff. This is ..... wow I just have no words.

Well, the next cohort is set to start Fall 2026 and that is supposed to be on all three campuses. Whatever this current situation is, it's temporary.

According to the one of the coaches, she said that she hasn't been given any information regarding the opening of the north and south campus for the fall term. So, there's that.
I just saw you applied for NSU- have you heard back from them yet? MDC is also far from me especially their clinical sites. That's why I didn't want to fall on them either- not to mention retaking the TEAS.
I just do not understand why they weren't transparent with us. I understand it being a competitive program but 40 students!?
I wasn't aware BC gained its Ivy League status. This is broward college not freaking Harvard. SMH.

Well, the BC website is updated with all three campuses for Fall 2026. ( It had Central only for Spring 26 )
And I hear you with MDC! It's just so far for me ( I live closer to BC North Campus!)
NSU is waiting for my current classes to wrap up to give me a final answer. But they said that everything else looks great otherwise. Their application period for Jan 2026 cohort ends December 1st and they have rolling admissions so they'll give a response within 2 weeks more or less. Also, they do not have a minimum TEAS score requirement--they just require that you take it.
