Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

You are REQUIRED to have titer tests done. Vaccination records are not enough.

If I haven't had any vaccinations in over 10 years, they should (or most of them) be expired, right? So can I just get the vaccines for those or do I need the titer and then return later for the shots?

She said regardless titers are required to test what vaccines you currently have immunity against. Then if your lacking any you schedule another appointment to receive the ones that are not showing up.

@Cass8906 Does that also apply for CAE0654 ( Florida Law and Rules )?

But the ones that you need periodically, I shouldn't have immunity because it has been so long. =/ I'm trying to not have to pay for a second appointment when I know I'm not immune. Some (like chicken pox and such) I know I'll need tests and may or may not be immune. I just don't see the point in titers when you know it's been too long...

CAE0654 and everything else is showing up in D2L for me. I signed up for them yesterday and they are all online through BC with start dates of Aug. 3. I don't think the date matters. I have a friend who is already doing hers on D2L with the same dates.

where are you guys going for your titers because everywhere is expensive ...

You must get the titers. It's required.

Titers are required by everyone stated Nicole...how much are they ranging for those who have inquired about the price?

I got confused someplace along the posts. To be clear.... Get titers first to see what antibodies we have. For those that we don't we go back and get the immunization ?

Correct @Jutana
