Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

I also am attending the 9am orientation . I hope to go to central as well. My name is Rafael by the way.

Congrats dude . I am also going to orientation at 9 am . Early birds . Has any done anything as in medical etc and done the ceu???? Or waiting for orientation to find out what to do??

I'm starting the ceu's tommrow and waiting for all the medical stuff til orientation :yes:

Do we just register for the ceufast website or pay the annual $29.99 in order to print the certificate?

I already did my background check. I'll probably start the CEU's next week.

One of my friends told me she is using Nursing Unlimited for the Basic Life Support and CPR ceu.. does anyone know if this is accepted by Broward? From what I hear, it's cheaper than the class that Broward offers and you don't need to bring a book or valve. Sounds good, but I want to make sure this is ok.

Does anyone have the list of certifications we need to do on ceufast ? I went on BC website but couldn't find it

Hey just to make sure did you do your background check with "Certified Profile" and payed the $38?? I just want to see if i did the right thing from the website

AIDS/HIV 4hr - there is an option for 2hr, be sure to select the 4hr Domestic Violence 2hrMedical Errors Prevention 2hrHepatitis C: Beyond The Basic 2hrOSHA 1hrTuberculosis 2hrInfection Control and Barrier Precautions 4hr ..... CAE0644 has to be done through broward only I believe..... I have to look.back through the may 2015 thread to make sure if we cant do the last on the ceu website

Havent even checked I know when you go through the admission tab from the broward website and then go to health science admission I see that "certified background.com" but never even checked it out ... for my medical etc I have an appt set with my pcp july 7 I do have records from my titers since I did them last year to go get into emt program and already did my physical this year but I need the flu shot and maybe a tetorifice shot and plus I need my dr to fill out the form that I printed out from the admission link for nursing ... I am going to start my ceu this weekend I already have bls cpr good til dec 2016 I got my cpr throught miami dade college which is cheap look into it . I already bought the book perry potter fundamentals of nursing edition 8 for $40 on amazon I think people in the other thread they were saying to study now Vital Signs , Health Assessment/Physical Exam, Infection Prevention and Control, Hygiene ..... please add on to what I missed ... we need everyone who knows what to do to chip in for us starting in august .
