I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Also i wouldn't worry about Kali professor much! Because I remember I went on ratemyprofessor for a teacher i had and they said horrible things about her but when I got there she was fine and she didn't seem to be what most said she was. Don't worry guys who have Mon and Thurs we will see! Have faith! Prayers !! :yes:

Im right with ya! @Acitrone i didn't find any pants none in my size so the bookstore guy told me come back later this week cause they will have more i only bought the top which I may return. So check back later this week. And my books didn't cost that much but did you rent some ? And I also bought those same supplies.

Those books we're so heavy lol I was struggling.

No unfortunately..I bought them all. & I'll check Friday for the scrubs... I am probably a small in pants with the drawstrings or a medium in the waist band..thanks to my hips and thighs lol 😑 might check for the pants elsewhere and just buy the tops in the store.

The xxs pants fit me they are just too snug for my liking. I am going to get an xs pants instead ;)

Renting is definitely an option. I rented Fundamentals of Nursing from Chegg.com back in July for $17. The book looks like its only been used once (and thats only because the previous user highlighted some things) and its not due back until December 17.

Meh. So I just went to Uniform City on mcnab and university...I got 2 pairs of great fitting pants for 15.99 tax free....BUT the colors are off by a hair. Crap! I'm guessing they won't allow them? I mean literally the top is a DULLER royal blue and the bottoms I got are more vibrant. UGH. Can't win. Lol

@Acitrone2011 try Wal-Mart. My friends that started in January didn't get the school pants because of the fit. So they got them from Wal-Mart. I got one pair from the bookstore today, just to see. And they are SUPER thin.

Does anyone know if we need to buy the bandage scissors, stethoscope, and penlight right now, or when clinicals start?

well clinical will be that tuesday and they seem pretty strict. I would bring those things just in case. All those supplies are really cheap if you go on amazon.

@acitrone2011 I have really thick thighs but no hips at all to match. I am practically hipless lolThat's my little deformity. Ladies and gents please don't forget to have a watch with a second hand I Cannot Stress THat enough. You need that to count pulse and observe how many times the chest rises within 1 minute ;)
