Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Hey anyone rushing to get their flu shot in before turning in their papers to South today, the CVS on Palm and Sheridan is giving it. Just got them to give it kuz they had billing questions. I just got back from a Cruise yesterday so I'm rushing and Thank God it's right next to me.

I lied. They're not giving it anymore. Lol. They said they can't give it till the 14th. Now I'm doomed 😩

I have been following the August 2015 thread. The Mon Thu teacher doesn't seem to be as experienced as the Mon Fri. I am a little concerned. No!!!! I am a lot concerned. I know a teacher can make you or break you. A chem teacher I had!!!!!!

I am right there with you in freaking out. I am trying to stay positive, it may be different for us then it was for others, I am going to try and get the recordings from Folas class to reinforce what we will be learning in Kali's. SIGH. I have Fola for Process II I believe (M&F). Deep breaths and stay focused. If we stay ahead I am sure we will do great. PRAYERS! :sorry:

Well I just got back from the bookstore. Overall I spent $757.76 on books, supplies, and ONE scrub tops. All the S were sold out and the bookstore attendant has no clue when they will be getting more. GREAT. Anywho, I went by the list the NursingClub sent us. Bought all the books in red lettering that they thought was necessary to have..as well as some in purple and green ..JUST INCASE. :yes:

I forgot to get the mathbook. I got there at 1030@m and I was surprised they were already sold our of xs pants which is what I needed. I bought xxs pants in the hopes I can exchange them at a later date for an xs pants. Guys the scrubs run preety big. I am 5'2 and 128pounds and the xs is kinda baggy on me a lot of elbow room. My sister who is also in the program wears an xs she is 5'3 and weighs 125. I bought an xs in the polo shirt and it fits like a small/ medium

Scrub tops 15$ bottoms $20 i got the elastic waistband because i have the string ones now for work and they are extremely aggravating.

im getting 3 sets of scrubs and maybe one polo ($30)

for books SHOP AROUND if u can! Remember this is just ONE semester if your not sure that you're going to use the book wait until class starts i heard some books that are on the book list wont even be used. Amazon chegg skyo

Im right with ya! @Acitrone i didn't find any pants none in my size so the bookstore guy told me come back later this week cause they will have more i only bought the top which I may return. So check back later this week. And my books didn't cost that much but did you rent some ? And I also bought those same supplies.

Those books we're so heavy lol I was struggling.

@belletifi does the xxs pants fit you? I didn't get them cause It probably wouldn't have fit
