Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

This financial assistance program that you're referring to can you give me more information on it please ?

Am I the only one looking forward to starting school on august24th???? 23 more days cant come fast enough!!!!!!

Hey you all! Well I know someone in the program already and she sent me a sample of questions for the math test we were gonna have! It's not that bad.

And for the stethoscopes does it have to be Littman ? Cause lol those are like *expensive*

And are we supposed to wear scrubs for the first day of class which is Monday?

The wioa program gives those who qualify up to $8,200 for school, they have 4 locations in broward county you are more than welcome to go to one of their orientatations, you will be given a packet , then you will come back with required documents and they will determine your elgibility.

yes you must wear scrubs the first day with your id of course, it doesn't have to be a Littman stethoscope. do you think you can pst the sample math questions here, or if you feel more comfortable you can private message me, whatever works best for you :)

I work with nurses that went to BC an she said she bought the cheapest Litmatan "3M Litman II S.E 28" Stethoscope and it work great. She also said she is still using it at work. Other nurses I work with have more expensive one so I guess it boil down to your budget and taste

Roxi can you forward the sample question..just so I have an idea? :)

When I was doing the HCP course that's no longer required..I was having issues with the school store stethoscope. So I did some research and got a Littman II. It really did help me out in taking accurate BP. I also figured...I could use that the rest of my career. It was expensive around 72 bucks. But it was some thing I knew I could use forever. There are much cheaper ones then that...do some research on google. Some websites sell different brand names cheaper.
