Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018

This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?

I'm pretty sure that we find out on/by Monday! That's what the timeline says. Although in my interview, they told us "hopefully by mid November." I wonder if that was to keep people from calling and checking. I think that you're right about there only being 45 people interviewed and on Tuesday/Friday! Even though they say that they're having interviews "all week Monday through Friday." *eye roll* lol

Good luck. Don't stress yourself it is really simple. Just know how to answer general scenario questions. On top of that know: what is a nurse and why do you want to be a nurse? That is pretty much it.

Yeah, I feel okay about it right now. I'm sure I'll get nervous on Friday, but I have my mock interview today which I think will alleviate a lot of nerves.

I'm new to this blog.... My interview is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Those who've already had it.... are we required to bring anything with us?

You just need a pen/pencil to write with your essay, and that is pretty much it.

Thanks so much! I'm so paranoid about tomorrow's interview I think I'm going to leave extra early in case life happens and delays me getting to Brookhaven (like a traffic delay, all lanes closed down)

Just walk in and take a seat on the seats immodestly after the door on the left, they'll escort you.

Sorry, that was vague. "The door on the left" aka the same location where you turned in your application (X1082)... there are seats just after that door, I'm sure you'll see others waiting, if not, Barb (blonde) at the desk will be able to direct you if needed
