Brookhaven Fall 2012

Published

Anyone here applying to Brookhaven's nursing program next month for their Fall 2012 admission?

I am..I need to take the HESI one more time in hopes of getting a higher score. The only support class that I do not have complete is End of Life so I hope with a higher HESI score and a good interview score I will have enough points to get in!

That's what I'm saying like what if I don't hear them correctly and I'm answering the question all wrong and everyone is like OMG what the hell is she talking about!

Me too!! My heart is beating like crazy :/

I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight..I wasn't nervous for the interview until today. I hope I get good questions!!!

I thought that we pulled numbers out of a hat to see what 2 questions we would be asked...BUT I thought that we would be given the 2 questions before we go into the room for the interview, that way we could prepare our answers (like give us a few minutes)...but it sounds like you go into the interview not knowing which question will be asked...eeek!

@Briterz- I hope it's the way you said, but honestly I don't think that's how it is. I think we get the questions as we get in as groups. I really pray, we get easy questions.

I am just terrified I will totally go blank when asked a question..even if it's an 'easy' question....ughhh I am so glad I am getting this over with tomorrow morning first thing!

Yeah I wish I didn't have class and work tomorrow. I think having this on my mind the next two days is going to be too much! Good luck @briterz and @queen I'm sure you will both do great!

Thanks @maxfieldGood luck Briterz

Briterz, if it's the same as last semester you won't know until your sitting at the table what question you will receive. But some of the questions repeat, so someone asked something earlier, might be the same question you get later. So pay attention to what is said, it helps.

That was nerve wracking!! Once you get in there though and sit down it's not bad at all!

You pull a number (1 through 5) before you go in and the number you get matches the seat (they are numbered too) you sit in. The 2 questions you are asked correspond to that number too.

My best advice is to just relax and take a moment and think about the question you are asked before you answer. All of the instructors who are on the panel are very nice and easy to talk to. Good luck everyone!!

Did you happen to find out the point range of other candidates that you interviewed with? And glad you made it out alive! :-)
