Hi everyone. I just turned in my application for the THIRD time this morning! I'm really hoping that third time's a charm. Has anyone turned in their application yet?

HI Holly! You don't need a book! ;) They just make you watch a video, and he will stop in between videos and have you do test runs with the manikins. I would just bring a spiral notebook to write notes on. Then at the end of the class you take a test..... VERY EASY! ;) Good luck with the class.

:yeah:

Hi all, congrats to everyone. I'll see you in the fall. You may know me as Ed.

Hi Ed! This is Shabana. I just joined this website. It looks pretty confusing to me, but I will try to get myself familiarize with it. This is the pefect way to get to know everyone. Most of the girls know Debbie. I think you were all together in End of Life issue class. Hopefully I will make new friends too. If anyone wants to see me, I will be with Debbie in every class from next semester. I would also like to congrats everyone who got accepted (including me). See you guys soon. Bye

Hello all,

I am definitely disappointed and sad that I did not make it! I applied with 31 points. I have a feeling I am right on the edge, but am trying to get an idea of what the cutoff was. Anyone know of someone who did or did not get in, with a score right around 31? I am hoping that I might be on the alternate list, in the event that someone declines their admission. I am frustrated, but will keep trying!

Hi there... I know someone who had 32.3 and didn't get in the program. I had 32.8 and I barely made it. So the cuttoff should be between these scores. Don't worry.... there is always a next time.

I actually know three people who didn't get in. Their scores were 31.3, 31.8, and 32.3.

It is unbelievable that someone with 32.3 didn't get in. I am so shocked. Can't believe the cutoff would be so high.

I know, I am so sad! She is a good friend of mine and she truly deserved it. I feel awful for her. BUT if the cut off was right at 32.8 then she must be next in line on the alternate list. *** said they usually pull 4-5 from the alternate list.

OMG I really hope your friend gets in. I have 32.89!! so I was there right at the cusp...really frightening to think that I might not have made it. **shivers** So glad I retook my HESI last minute! phewww

Thanks guys. It is scary to see the cutoff number rising every semester, but its a good thing too! I tell myself that it's ridiculous to feel so competetive in a two year program, but Brookhaven has one of the best, and nursing is a hot field right now. If your friends who didnt get in don't hear anything new by the 10th, don't let them lose hope! I was told that some people have to drop over the summer for unforseen circumstances!

Also, makes me wonder... you guys said that one person with 32.3 DID get in, and another with 32.3 DIDN'T. What determines the tie breaker again?

I just talked to my classmate. She applied with 32.4, but didn't get in. The cutoff has to be between 32.4 & 32.8.

Hi everyone! I got in also! My name is Debbie (Hi Shabana, Nicole & Ed!!) and I can't wait to meet all of you once the program starts! I am sooo excited :yeah: This was my first time to apply and I applied with 33.56 points. I am finishing up micro, path & pharm right now and will be glad to have those classes behind me!
