Brookhaven (DCCCD) Fall 2016

Published

I know I'm a little early, but I'm anxious!!

Missed Spring '16 Deadline by ONE CLASS so I took the semester to get it together.

Anybody else prepping to start the application process in February?

Anybody else know the dates or have been to advising?? Talk to me people !!

Could y'all share the points you were accepted with? I think last semester the lowest was 24? Would like to see what I'm going against for the September application period. Thanks and congrats to all!! No more waiting on emails :)

I applied with 27.17.

29.91 was what I applied with. I heard some say they thought they lowest was 23.5 or something like that but I'm not sure

I'm in too. I just found out this forum. See you guys soon

So for the people that got accepted, what's next??

I guess just wait until they email us more info & work on getting our CPR certification, shots updated, physicals done, etc

Are you in the Facebook group? I will try and get the booklist together tomorrow and post for y'all what books we have used this semester as well as recommended NCLEX study books. For right now I would work on getting your physical, making sure your vaccinations are up to date and verified by the school nurse. Everyone has to have a hepatitis B titer even if you've already had the series. TB test can be done by the Brookhaven school nurse for free, that as well as your flu vaccine and CPR certification, has to be renewed every year while in the program.

Hi All! First CONGRATS to everyone who got in. My name is Diana and I just graduated in May 2016 from Brookhaven nursing program and passed NCLEX in June 2016. I am now ready to get rid of all my books. If anyone is interested in purchasing them, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or you can text me at 214-662-9468. I also have the HURST videos and study materials which are SUPER helpful!

Thanks,

Diana

Yay I got in at last! I can't believe I finally received my acceptance letter today. Just 10 days to my 40th B/day. What a b/day present for me!!
