Brookdale Community College

Hi everyone. Im currently in my second semester in the nursing program here at brookdale. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

I took it at right here at Brookdale! They offer CNA classes year round. The one I took was in the winter session and it was only 2 weeks long, however it was Monday to Friday, for basically the whole day. The cost was around 800$ if I remember correctly, and that was including books and uniforms. It was an easy class, not something I would worry about.

UPDATE: Just finished my 2nd semester of the program! 3rd semester here I come!

Hi there. I'm interested in learning about the online track. How many hours of study time a day would you say are typical? How many semesters are clinicals? Specifically how many hours long are Saturday clinicals? Are the classes very hard? How many times a week do you have to go to campus to test out? And during which classes? I have a family and plan to continue to work full time so not sure how successful I would be at completing the program. Any advice for someone like me??

Hi, are you still pursuing nursing? I am also interested in the online program. I also have a small child and work full time.

Hey are u still pursuing Brookdale nursing?

Hello i am looking into doing the advanced placement program. I recently attended the info session and my projected start date is may 2020-2021. Was your projection accurate ? I am very frustrated I wanted tovstart sooner.

Hello. Im a senior in HS, LOoking to go into the Brookdale nursing program. can I Apply to the nursing program now even without doing the teas, and cna licensure course? I wanted to be on a waiting list now so when the time comes that I get it I'll have all the requirements. I don't want to be getting all my requirements done then waiting 1.5 years doing nothing. Can u please help in how I shoukd go about this?

You need to take and pass the TEAS, and then attend an information session, and THEN you will be placed on the waiting list.

Hi. I am applying to brookdale. How long after the waitlist were you admitted. I spoke to the nursing head today and she said a 2 year wait. Is there leeway on that?

Did they say this is after you have all of your prerequisites completed?

I actually have a bachelors degree so most of my classes are complete besides nursing classes. But I think you can complete the prerequisites while on the waitlist if I’m not mistaken. It’s just nice to get those out the way so you can focus on nursing classes

Same here, I only have 3 classes left, one of which can be completed while in the program. So they still told you 2 years? Which track is this for? Wow
