Is anyone willing to chat in detail about their personal experience at Brookdale's Nursing Program?

Do LPNs have to be placed on a waiting list at brookdale for the RN program? I am one class away from being done with all general education. I applied in 2006. I got on the waiting list 2009 because of horrible counslers. Plus I needed to take prereqs. So now they are telling me to wait 3 years so i should get in nursing program 2012. Veery upset. Is there any schools close by brookdale that doesn't have a waiting list?

The counslers told me the wait list was a year and half. So they didn't push me to get on the waiting list right away because i still had time to finish other classes.Before i could blink the list went up to 3 yearss. Now i feel i am wasting my time there. Who knows for sure though tomorrow they can change the list maybe back to one year. Or i can stay at brookdale for another 4 years and could of been a doctor by then hahah .this is so stressful.

Hi. I'm starting the LPN Bridge program this May at Brookdale. Did you go through it yet. If you have, do I need to buy the books from the first two nursing classes? Thanks in advance.

I wish they used Certified Medical Assistant in there accelerated program :(

Looking for a little bit of advice and help about the program. One of my questions is where can I find a study group for the nursing program?

When you start the program you will meet people and start a study group. They also have prn pals which are students from the upper classes that will help you with material that you need help reinforcing. Good luck!!

I see that you are an LPN, for an LPN there are no prerequisites at Brookdale, you can challenge the first two semesters and believe it or not you have priority over all of the current students that have to take the prereq's. Can you tell me what happened with your testing challenge, due tho the fact that I know that if you passed the challenge you start the term after you passed.

I am an LPN and they made me take A&P2 and PSYC 208!
