  1. thanks.. I defiantly get what you are saying.. I was so anxious and had a bit of anxiety because of the weight of the nursing program and all there rules if you don't score an 90 on the math or a 85 you get kicked out of the program lol. It took me 2 years of waiting and no second chances for much of anything. However I stoped reading for a day and felt a lot better to walk away from it for little bit. So I don't get overly stressed and nervous because I want to do great. I started looking at clinical videos and I am not at that step tilll sept lol.. So I have to relax a bit lol according to my professor.
  2. Thanks so much!! I have been reading and reading and I remember for Anatomy I had to memorize all the steps.. In the chapters there is soo many steps to legal aspects, to ethical aspects.. I have to say I understand and take the Nclex questions at the end of chpts which is very helpful.
  3. I just was accepting into the Nursing program.. I am bit overwhelmed, and I am trying to find a direction on what to memorize. So far when I read the chapters everything seems very important to remember. The teachers power point doesn't cover much of anything. So what should I do. The teacher didn't get the best reviews, however I am determined to be successful in this course. Any suggestions?
  4. I just started my first semester in nursing.. I been reading the chpts before my first class which is tonight.. I actually went for the ice cream and then started too cry because I know I am very overwhelmed, stressed, and fear of not being a good nurse. Because face it, nurses can't afford to make mistakes. Then I said to myself, I don't want to be this person, this is my dream to become a registered nurse.. That my stress isn't a sign of weakness but a sign of determination.. My advice to you is don't give up, usually the things that we have to fight and cry for is what we really want deep down. Then it turns out to be the best decision that you had made by fighting for what you want. Best of wishes in what ever you do :)
  5. Thank you :) .. I am just starting my first nurs160 course tonight ..I work as a CNA on the weekends. However it really puts a strain on me, when I come home the last thing I want to do is study. So I am thinking about giving it up and just study study study.. I am taking a nurse course with micro biology.. This is going to be a challlege .. any suggestions? I read the nursing chpts already and yet I don't know what to really focus on, because everything seems very important
  6. What school did you go to? I am in brookdale right now, just got into the nursing program. I am going to my first class tonight. I have been reading, yet I know I haven't memorized everything. My teacher isn't the best rated professor, but I am trying my best just trying to figure out what it is she wants me to memorize. Any study suggestions for the readings, and the power point she gives doesn't cover much of anything from the readings we have to do.

  8. The counslers told me the wait list was a year and half. So they didn't push me to get on the waiting list right away because i still had time to finish other classes. Before i could blink the list went up to 3 yearss. Now i feel i am wasting my time there. Who knows for sure though tomorrow they can change the list maybe back to one year. Or i can stay at brookdale for another 4 years and could of been a doctor by then hahah .this is so stressful.
  9. Do LPNs have to be placed on a waiting list at brookdale for the RN program? I am one class away from being done with all general education. I applied in 2006. I got on the waiting list 2009 because of horrible counslers. Plus I needed to take prereqs. So now they are telling me to wait 3 years so i should get in nursing program 2012. Veery upset. Is there any schools close by brookdale that doesn't have a waiting list?
