Brookdale Community College

Published

I'm wondering if there's anyone who's attending Brookdale community college, on the waiting list or applying. I put in my application...met with a counselor...I'm going to take the NET soon. I also applied to Middlesex Community College and took the TEAS on January 3rd.

Thanks

I filled out the pre-admission request. I need to take the NET and after I pass then fill out the official nursing application. After that we go to an info session and then get put onto the list. My guess is the wait is about 18 months to 2 years. I have to still do a bunch of the pre-reqs. I'm hoping to knock them out while on the list. Maybe we will be in the same class. I'm going to try and take the NET before March 1st. How about you?!

I had great grades and scored in the 99th percentile and still didn't get into MCC. When I questioned them they said they took their own first. If you go to school there I think your chances of getting in will increase a lot especially if you did well on the TEAS. We took the NLN last year.

I got your private message as well. I don't have to take the accuplacer because I have my BS in Public Health and already had to take college Math. I met with a counselor at BCC, who told me that the wait is 18 months. I'm taking A&PI this this spring semester. I recently received the slip to go and take the NET at Brookdale.

I also applied to MCC. I took the TEAS. I scored an 88.3% and was at the 94th percentile.. I'm really hoping to get in at MCC. If not, then I'll wait to get in at Brookdale.

I hope all goes well for you.

I attended Brookdale's program and graduated last May. I can tell you that the waiting list really varies from person to person, depending on what pre-requisites you've completed. I was told 2 years for the wait list, but in reality it was a year.

Keep in mind that a lot of people change their minds, drop out, or fail pre-requisites, so they get bumped to the bottom or off the list.

My advice is to get those pre-requisites out of the way, especially Microbiology, prior to starting your nursing clinicals when you finally do get that phone call.

Best of luck. Just go to class, pay attention and do the reading.

I recently graduated from BCC (Dec. 2008) and Kaylah18 is correct about getting the pre-requisites out of the way in addition make sure you get your psych 106 and Anatomy and Physiology 111 out of the way before attending orientation then you are placed higher on the waiting list.
