U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hello, I was just wondering if there is anyone else on here that is currently waiting to get an acceptance letter to Bristol Community College's Nursing Program for Fall 2012?

Hey i just looked at my degreeworks and they audited it today...omg..im nervous.....did anything change on yours???

nope. no changes. FREAKING OUT. when are we supposed to hear by?

I have no idea...I was hoping that we would have heard something by now

I just called and they said they had asked yesterday and that they response was that the letters are going out at the end of march. aparently.

END OF MARCH?!?!?!..I'll end up having a heart attack in the meantime lol

I went to the Infor session last night. I did not apply for this coming fall because of my lack of pre-reqs, but I did apply to the OTA program which I hope to get into for now and see what happens. (its actually my plan C if no other schools want me, lol) But anyway, they said they were hoping to get all acceptance/rejection letters for the nursing program out by the MIDDLE of March this year because they were able to do so last year.

Only a week or two difference, but hope that calms your heart a little..lol

I was audited on 2/16, 2 days ago and then again today, OMG is that good or bad???

lol I have no idea Sheryl. I was audited on the 17th and then again today. I am hoping that it means they are looking at us.

Thanks for the info Kmmo. I was hoping that it would be by the end of Feb but I am guessing that something must have delayed them. Was it ***** that gave the session last night?

I was audited again today. no changes though. Hopefully they get them out soon! they got them out in the middle of march last year but they also had about 7 snow days! I wish I could speed this process up!

Thanks for the info Kmmo. I was hoping that it would be by the end of Feb but I am guessing that something must have delayed them. Was it **** that gave the session last night?

Yeah, it was ****. He was very informative. Like I said, I knew I had zero chance of getting into the Nursing program, so I was there for the OTA which I actually think I have a good shot of getting into. I plan on doing that and if I like it, great, if not, by then I will have my pre-reqs and I can apply for the ADN program next year, or somewhere else. Its my plan C, I have also applied to other nursing programs, including the LPN program at Diman Voc, so we'll see.

I did feel bad though. I would say at least HALF of the ladies there thought they would get into the nursing program this year and most of them left very dissapointed. Many of them were high school students, some were people who were taking A&P THIS semester, and **** felt bad bursting their bubble by saying i a completed application was not in by Feb 1, then chances of getting in were next to zero. I felt very bad.

He showed the numbers of applicants vs. the number of spots. There was like, 750 or so applicants last year for 72 spots. Which seems daunting, but then he said more than HALF of those applicants were not qualified..and it ended up being around 200-250 QUALIIED applicants for 72 or so spots. So thats a little bit better at least.

Good luck to all of you. I cant wait to hear all your news!

I have also applied to other nursing programs, including the LPN program at Diman Voc, so we'll see.

I did the LPN route too, after going to the info session 2 years ago, I applied to both Diman and Bristol Plymouth in Taunton and was accepted into both. I went to BP since it was closer to me and cheaper, so now I'm an LPN and applied to the bridge program. I figured at least I could be working and getting experience while working on my prereqs. Good luck!!
