Hi all,

I wanted to create this thread for students applying to BCC's program for Fall 2022. Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, etc. 

As a student expecting to graduate from the program this Summer feel free to reach out with any questions and I will do my best to answer them or refer you to the proper channels ?

This is def making me nervous LOL, I did the essay last weekend but never received a call asking me to complete one. Hopefully it’s not a huge deal but it does make me question everything. Almost here!

I didn't even do an essay. It says it is optional, but there is a little voice in my head that's wondering if that is true.

Don’t worry I’m sure it is optional with no bearing on acceptance. I have a feeling they are seeing how we did on them with the idea of making an essay part of the application process in upcoming years. Tbh I was surprised there wasn’t some sort of essay question that went along with our checklists, I know a lot of schools require admission essays.

I so hope you are correct. I'm feeling confident in my GPA, so if I do not make it, I will be pretty sure that this is the reason. I also was surprised. My two oldest kids went through the college application phase, and the vast majority of colleges and scholarships required writing.

Yes you got this Chrissie! You got the phone call about the essay and you have a 4.0, if any of us get in it will be you! And the others with that GPA too. This is in the bag.!

Thank you so much, I'm so grateful to have this group to go through this stress with! I think we can all use a little pep talk every now and again.

Absolutely! We’re in this together. Hopefully we hear by Friday and can start worrying about the first day of class after that haha.

With the essay it’s just making all double think things, but as mentioned in the email this doesn’t affect our chances. @ChrissiePie22 please do not worry! You have a great GPA! We all need to believe in ourselves and just hope the next few days sort of go by quick! I believe in all of us!!

Talked to admissions they said tomorrow late in the day they will send the decisions out
