Hi all,

I wanted to create this thread for students applying to BCC's program for Fall 2022. Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, etc. 

As a student expecting to graduate from the program this Summer feel free to reach out with any questions and I will do my best to answer them or refer you to the proper channels ?

Did anyone else get the email about holistic admissions pilot program?? Scarred me I thought it was a rejected letter ?‍♀️

Yeah I got that a while ago, I wrote an essay for it

I think I have gotten before but I never did the essay.

Just realized next week is Spring break so if we don’t hear back this week that’ll suck

I never thought we’d be waiting this long. Also, I got a call from the someone in the nursing department asking me to write that essay. Said it was optional, but I definitely felt the pressure with the phone call!!

Trying not to let anxiety kick in, but it just makes me nervous that even though they say it goes by GPA, maybe there is something else, because why would it take so long if it literally was just the top GPA’s? I don’t really think that, but the stress is getting to me.

And who was it? (Don't put the name you will get in trouble) I don't know who would be calling you

It was a man from the nursing department. Called yesterday afternoon, my daughter answered and she thought they were calling to let me know if I was in. I think it may have been the same person who sent the emails but I don’t know.

I would take it as a positive sign that they called asking you to submit the essay to be honest!

I was talking to some 2nd year students this morning and they said they should be picking soon. One girl told me she was wait listed and got notified in July that she was picked. Her GPA was 3.87 so if that helps any? They said I have nothing to worry about with a 3.97 but of course I am as I'm sure we all are. ?? they let us know by tomorrow!
