Hi all,

I wanted to create this thread for students applying to BCC's program for Fall 2022. Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, etc. 

As a student expecting to graduate from the program this Summer feel free to reach out with any questions and I will do my best to answer them or refer you to the proper channels ?

@whalestales Hey! I applied for fall ‘22 but I’m a bit confused about how they use your GPA… I’ve read in past threads that they’ll use a prerequisite GPA, so they’re not looking at your current/overall GPA?? Also, if I’ve already taken child development would they use that grade or psy 101? Same with math since I’ve taken stats. And I’m super excited for you!! You’re almost done!

Hi Hannah!

This is a question best for your advisor, or any advisor available to book. They have a specific checklist form they can go over with you to show exactly what is being looked at.

However, I do know it's just the prerequisites they care about GPA for. And with things like psych they take whichever class has a higher grade, or at least they did 2 years ago.

For example I had an A in English 101 and an A- in 102 so they took 101 as the requirement.

It’s only February 8, and I’m already fighting the urge to check Degree Works more than once a day. Ugh!

Hi, I was just wondering where would we see it pop up in degree works?

From what I understand, it is usually some time during the last two weeks of February. No set date that I know of.

Right on the first screen you see after logging in, your major and concentration will have changed. I heard they’re still reviewing apps so we still have at least a couple weeks of waiting:/

I did get it sorted, thanks, the day after I posted I spoke with admissions and they marked me as having attended. It was much easier than I anticipated, I was expecting having to convince someone.

I’m so glad to see this thread picking up!! Does anyone know where I can find Degree Works on my phone? I have the BCC app, but can’t seem to find it there. Thank you!!
