Hello fellow nurses,
Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has completed or is currently in the RPN bridging program at GBC.
I will be starting in September 2017 and would like to get some insight on what it was like in terms of the course load and how much in class is required.

Hey, sorry I can't answer your poll, but I was just curious what your GPA was getting in? I'm going into my second year RPN at GBC this fall and hope to do that program next year.
Thanks!

I completed the gbc portion of the bridge back in April and am entering the trent portion in September.
I didn't think the course work was difficult but the first semester is definitely busy. You'll have tons of small assignments that seem to be never ending. The first semester didn't have that much in class stuff outside of the electives. The second semester has more, but honestly I almost never went and still finished with a pretty decent GPA.
To succeed you need to do a lot of self study and be organized. It's really easy to miss assignments because you have so many on the go.

Hey! I hope you don't mind me asking- but do you happen to know if it is difficult to gain entry to the bridging program? I just finished high school and am in the midst of deciding on where I want to go for school. I understand that you have to graduate as a RPN with a 75% avg minimum (in order to apply for bridging) but was that manageable or difficult?
Most courses in the RPN program aren't overly difficult. The problem is a few like pathology or pharmacology can sink your GPA. They can be pretty tough courses.

I would choose a school closer to home if you're commuting. You can also check the passing rate for the CPNRE on the CNO website when deciding your school of choice.
