Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.
My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much.
(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)
I also have this concern regarding the type of visa that will be given when undertaking the bridging program, because i've read a lot from this thread that most of the time, a short-stay visa is given which means that you will have to stay in Aussie for just 3 months to complete the course, then you will have to go back to your home country once your done with it. So, does it mean that registration to AHPRA (after the bridging course) is to be done in your home country?

So you can go back to aussie after you exit. But it depends. Too bad Some were granted with single entry visa.

how was it? please give us a feedback.
It was okay. A lot of case study, they are very strict with immunisation and other documents. They are all nice
Hello, i read on previous post that if ever your business visa has 'no further stay' condition, you can apply for a tourist visa to extend your stay to have enough time to process registration and get a job that will sponsor.. My question is, is this still applicable today? And how much is the probability you'll get granted? For those with business visa what is your plan after finishing BP? Will you go back here for processing of registration and applying?
