Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Anyone who was offered to be an enrolled nurse instead of RN?

Saw it here before but can't remember who was offered. She just supplied the necessary docs to be considered for RN..

Hi good day!

Good thing that I found this site for nurses who

wishes to live and be a R.N in AU someday.

Well, I'm happy for those who already have their LOE from Ahpra (please help us).

I'm planning as well to go in AU next year (hopefully).

:)

So by January I'll start my review for IELTS (to get a totaL BAND SCORE OF 7).

Somehow, I'm worried at times since I only have a 1 year work experienced as a Staff R.N in a secondary hospital under medical-surgical ward.

I'm afraid if I'm done with my b.p and I'll have a hard time looking for a job since I only have a year experience.

Any comment or suggestion with regards my concern??? TIA.!

P.S: can somebody tell me more about the bridging program (the course outline of B.P). TIA.

Hi.. I am new here and I am also considering Au based on what my IELTS will be this December. I am working now as RN here in Singapore but I had a year and 8mos experience as enrolled nurse only but to sum up, i am also on my way to having more than 2 years RN exp in Ph and here in Sg...

My concern is also a job after the BP, i might have to give up my job here before having a secured job in Au and that's too risky. :((

Yes its me. They refused my application as RN at first being my education not deemed equivalent with their standards. So i filed an appeal by submitting other supporting documents to counter the decision.

Hi! I'm a registered nurse from the Philippines. I sent in my application to AHPRA last week of August of this year. I got an email from them saying that they needed my school to send them a letter regarding Mental Health Nursing being included in our curriculum. My school already sent them the letter. And then I got an email from AHPRA last week stating that my papers are now currently being assessed. (1) Does anyone of you have an idea if AHPRA rejects an application? (2) What are the chances? (3) How long does it take before they send you your LOE?

Hope to hear a reply from any one of you! God bless us all! :D mwah!

1. They do refuse an application, but you will be given the chance to counter the decision.

2. If you do not meet the requirements.

3. It depends where you lodged your application. Some got theirs in as early as one month, some unfortunate were granted after a year.
