Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

hi Lovella_Ellen At website of ACN they r showing that intake of 2 july available...may be website not updated

Yes your right. Because I asked them if possible to include me on July 2 intake but they said it's already full. It's just that website is not yet updated. Let me know if if your July 30 as well when you receive your offer.

Hi Ind RN, just email them that you accept the decision of refusal of the application. They will then give you the refund (I also did this and received the refund already). After bridging, you will then re-apply for registration and that's it. Let me know when you have the offer, hopefully we will be classmates :)

Thanks a lot..

This means they will return our registration fee now. And after completing bridging course whenever we reapply then we have to pay again.

I misunderstood bcoz they were saying that we will initiate ur refund and close ur application for registration. I thought they will close my file permanently

Ya i will inform u immidiately after receiving offer letterí ½í¸Š

Hi. Anyone enrolled for the April 2 Intake of EPIQ/Bridging Course at ACN? Hope to meet future classmates.

Hi everyone! I would just like to ask if you guys sought the assistance of an agent in the processing of an AHPRA application? I understand that I need to register with AHPRA first before proceeding to applying for a bridging program. I haven't taken the IELTS yet but I am planning to take it soon. Thank you :)

PS. I am from the Philippines by the way :)

Hi! Have you started with your application already? :)

HI i would like to ask if i am still eligible for nurse bridging program in australia

my last hospital experience was from june 2011 to june 2014. If i need to top up my experience is only hospital experience accepted for bridging or does a clinic or company nurse suffice? will the bp really increase to 6 months?

Hi! Have you started with your application already? :)

Hi! I'm new here. I'm a RN in the PH with 3years working experience and is planning to go to Australia next year. However, i'm torn between the BP and taking up a 2-yr undergrad course in nursing. I'm done with all the other requirements including IELTS and most of my relatives live in Aus. I have 3 uncles who has been living there for more than 30 yrs and will be the ones to sponsor my studies and other expenses. They told me that earning a bachelor degree (2 to 3 yrs) would have more benefits than pushing through with BP especially in finding a job and processing PR. But I find it a bit too long. Despite not having to worry about expenses, still I would like to at least save time and effort.

So I have some questions about BP:

1. After finishing the program and say I passed and applied for registration, am I automatically a AuRN? What I mean is, I will be registered as a professional AU nurse and will be on the same level with those who earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and not as an enrolled nurse? (Cause this nurse levels confuse me)

2. After becoming an AuRN, and find a work/ get employed right away and get a working visa, can I apply for PR already, if not, how long do I have to practice my profession and stay in Australia before i can file for one?

Thank you in advance!
