Bridging Program in Australia

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi. Anyone here planning to enroll in ETEA for Feb 2018 intake? :)

Anyone for ETEA Sydney BP?

Anyone for ACFE Melbourne this coming November 20? I'm looking for classmates/housemates! :-)

Hi dy3p. I am considering to take the same avenue as yours. May I ask you a few more questions through fb chat or viber? I already have an employer in australia and we are thinking about doing the BP then they will absorb me after. Is that possible? Thank you!!

Specializes in Cardiac ICU.

How do you have an employer without registration?

An employer had been trying to sponsor me and they got me a 186 sponsorship but got denied because I do not have Ahpra registration and skills assessment. We have been advised that BP could be the best option. Im just worried what happens after I finish the program?

Don't get me wrong or anything but a legit employer knows these processes and would not proceed with an application if they are aware that one is not registered with AHPRA. Not only with RN's but to all medical practitioner for that matter. Of course they will be denied. I'm sorry but please make sure that your potential employer is reliable and goes by the Australian Standards with regards to healthcare. It is only AHPRA who can recommend such program and not any other entities. With regards to skills assessment, one can't be assessed by ANMAC if one is not registered with AHPRA. What are you worried about exactly?

hello there! a newbie here. im currently working in saudi arabia and been here for more than ten years now. my concern is that, the hospital where im working, will not provide a detailed certificate of employment unless i resign. and if im not mistaken, i need a detailed COE for AHPRA assessment? please enlighten me..

thank you in advance!

Hi! Who among you undergone BP at ACN? How was it? And is there an interview before enrollment? Please reply Thanks!

Im sending my application for ACN for Apr03/2018 intake.

I will update here when I receive my Letter of offer from ACN

hi friends, i am from india, just received letter from AHPRA for referral. so any suggestion for which college is better or i should choose. Preference is Melbourne.

One more thing i want to clarify is that i have seen on AHPRA site that many colleges approval is going to end in feb or march 2018, so if i get admission in jan intake, it will affect my application or not ?

thank you
