Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.
My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much.
(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)
Hi Manzoor here, i also got offer from IHNA few days back for January 2014 intake but I haven't yet accepted their offer. Could anybody help with few queries plz:1-If Online Introduction to RN Bridging and English for Health Professionals Program bears cost?
2-Do I have to accept accommodation or it depends on me, I am asking this for the reason that i will be staying with my uncle in Melbourne and i dont want to bear extra costs of clinical accomodation.
3- Why IHNA is listed in inactive programs on APHRA site?
Hi Manzoor! Did you accept your letter of offer from IHNA? I have checked their status on the AHPRA website and I saw that they are already approved and its valid until 2017.
Hi guys i really need your help.. is there a bridging school that accepts applicants who only have 1 yr of nursing experience in a maternity hospital? i really need your advices. TIA!! :)
There are schools that accept applicants even without any hospital experience however, it's goin to be really tough finding a job after the course especially now that the competition for nursing jobs between other international nurses, locals and grads is getting tighter. Even Nurses with 4 years or more experience are having difficulty finding a job. Most of My classmates from January IRON batch already went back to their country. Some are converting their visas to student visa and enrol to new school and course just because they wanted to stay longer and for them get a job even for only 20 hrs/week. Ironic, but that is the reality now.
