Hi everyone,
Well, BHSN begins accepting applications very soon. I am going to send mine in by the end of the week. Last year, I waited til the end and was wait-listed, and then the program was full before they got to me.
I just wanted to start a post for us applying this year for the fall of 2011. Good luck to all.
Heyyyy, for all you newbs applying for the first time this year: if you didn't see last year's thread, there's a lot of good information there regarding GPA and test grades of students who were later admitted (and some who may not have made gotten in). It's like a million pages long..we get off-track sometimes..but lots of grades were posted in the first few pages of the thread. :)

Also, I can't remember what my actual essay question was, but I think they give you a couple of options and I can tell you that they were really short!! I think it was like a page and a half, double-spaced. I think they just didn't have the time to read the long essays, heh heh. I wrote some essay about my CNA training.
And SSStill, I'm sure that raising your grade will really improve your odds.
Good luck, you guys!!!
I'm trying to stay positive about BHSN, but... they told me my TEAS transcripts never arrived, since it had been over three weeks since I requested them, I ordered another transcript for $22. The next day I find out they did have them after all. OK one $44 mistake, fine. Now they are saying they do not have one of my college transcripts, it was in the envelope with my other transcripts, essay, application, etc. I find this very frustrating, and honestly I don't have time at the end of the semester to re-do my application because they have clearly misplaced part of my file.
studentnurseCT - I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've experienced. BHSN is a really good program, but I must admit they can be pretty disorganized at times. If you get into the program, this won't be the last time you get frustrated over something that doesn't go as planned. Try not to let it discourage you, as the professors are wonderful and you will learn a lot. Just as a side note, we have a class of 120 or so and we only lost 4 so far after NU101.
I would call the school back and ask them to look through their files again. Most of the time they end up finding the missing items.
I got my acceptance letter today for fall 2011. I sent my application in a few weeks ago. They wanted me to resend my official transcripts. I sent my transcripts about a week ago and got the acceptance letter in the mail today. I had already taken the TEAS test.
I just wanted to let everyone know, obviously it's rolling admissions, so hurry up and get your applications in!
