  1. Well organized.... ? They have you fooled there! While they are not completely disorganized, they certainly have room for improvement. I will admit they have recently made steps towards improvement. . . They added an online program that allows you to get notes and messages, you won't have to wait for grades to be posted on a wall like we did. They do know what they are talking about and you will certainly learn a lot and be very prepared when it comes to clinical skills and knowledge. The new director has made significant changes and the new instructors bring some new perspectives and have helped improve some of the way things are done. Congrats on getting in. Study hard and take every opportunity you get to learn new things.
  2. BHSN hands down, you get a much better clinical experience being in a hospital based program. It is a well respected program and known for being intense and producing competent nurses. You will most likely have a better chance of getting a hospital job (if that is want you want) from BHSN over the community colleges.
  3. Congrats... Get your co-requisites out of the way. after the first class (halfway through the first semester) you will not want to be taking any extra classes, it picks up very fast.
  4. I have the Sprague Rappaport and I hate it for the fact that it is so heavy and the ear pieces don't quite fit which makes for a very uncomfortable day. It was a gift so I tried it out but honestly cannot stand it. Not sure what I am going to buy, thinking about a Littman Lightweight

I called and I am off the waitlist. . . makes me wonder what would have happened if I didn't call. (Thanks for the advice) I am meeting with ***** and ***** on Friday :)
  6. Thanks and congrats on your acceptance. I called today and got sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail, who knows, it is in their hands now.

Congrats! I have called previously and she said she could not tell me either way. . . that is funny how they tell some people and others nothing. Did you call before that?
  8. I am still on the waitlist at BHSON, how many people have gotten off (congrats) and are still on?
  9. I am in the same position as you. I have yet to take the GRE, I am an awful standardized test taker. I have a good undergrad GPA, 3.2 and Masters in Communications, 3.8 but my sciences are low, B- for Chem, A&P1. Somewhere through the grapevine I heard Yale accepting those with low grades and people who are "not so smart"- I am not sure how valid those both are, since one is subjective. I think it depends on your background as the program is for those w/o a medical and science background. Honestly, it doesn't hurt to apply. Stay positive.
  10. Did you take the GREs? This is the only thing holding me back from applying to yale
