BRCC NURSING 2017

Published

This is a thread for students who are applying in the Spring of 2017 at Baton Rouge Community College for the ASN program! Feel free to comment with questions, thoughts, or anything else that pertains to the nursing program! :)

Don't worry about statistics! It was easier than trig and college albegra to me!

Seriously!? Because everyone says how hard it is. I did well in algebra... U've made my day haha

I had taken it as an online class and was scared as hell!! But it was pretty easy! And trust me saying that because I seriously hate math!!

It's really kinda unfair because we can't really schedule our classes for the fall yet since we don't know...

I mean we could, and just drop them if we get into nursing school but still :/

What I did for the fall was look up what times the first nursing class would be, then I scheduled around those times just in case I got in for the fall semester because I was scared that Micro would close up. It does really suck though, I really wish they would let us know way earlier than they do.

So I hope I'm not the only one who had dreams about getting a letter last night lol

Anyone heard anything? Lol

I went in person to ask about letters given That I will be out of town For the next six days. Staff said letters will be going out 2nd week of June.

Either they mean it when they say "second week of June" or just felt like giving the letters out early last year. Which could still be the case here

I asked if I could submit whatever paperwork is required (assuming I have been accepted) to secure my spot in case letter arrives while I'm out of town. She said no because letters haven't been sent out yet and won't be till 2nd week of June.

I wonder why they wait so long... I keep reminding myself patience is virtue☺️

They told me that they wait till that period because they have to wait till everyone who's applying has their transcripts finalized so they can be reviewed. Which I assume takes a couple of weeks to do and the process of actually setting up the mail and sending takes awhile as well

Wondering if that means we'll have them by next week...

What did they tell you to do then in the case that you get in and are out of town? I am currently working at a residential camp in Missouri all summer and am contracted to be here and it's difficult to leave. I've been wondering the same thing about what to do if you're out of town.
