  1. Do you mean registration for classes? Email? As far as I am concerned we are not to register for courses until further notice, closer to orientation. I hope this answers you question.
  2. I got accepted too! GPA 3.8 and HESI 88.8
  3. I swear everytime I hear an email alert my BP goes up. I've been glued to my phone and by the looks of it, I'll continue to be all week long. I was also hoping we would've received those letters by today.
  4. I can't wait to find out! I might not be the only one, but ever since the proctored essay I've been going to sleep and waking-up with some anxiety. Based on last year's forum, they were told they would start hearing from LSU on the week of Oct. 16th and they did on that exact day. I hope it is the same for us and start hearing from them as soon as Oct. 8th. The wait is killing me!!!
  5. You are right about the tour helping out to calm down the nerves. Everyone there was so nice, at least that was my experience. Just wish we had more time to tour the campus and maybe 15 minutes extra to complete the essay. The question really caught me off guard though, but it was a fun question. I feel so much better now that every step of the application is done and over! Just hope these few weeks go by fast. They did say we will hear from them after October 8th right? Ms Tracie said there were about 140 eligible applicants and 110 will be accepted. Good luck to everyone!
  6. My appointment is tomorrow! Like many of you, I am quite nervous about the essay. Good for ya'll that did it today, you can now relax! So how did you guys feel about the essay? Did they do the tour before or after the essay?
  7. I submitted mine yesterday. I'm not used to recording myself, so that was a bit interesting for me. On my last video though, which was the demonstration, the beginning was cut-off by couple seconds. I did mention the technical issue on the review. To those that still need to record and submit, good luck!
  8. @theknittynurse me too! So not sure if everyone clicked on the link "Prospective Students" but it says attire should be professional or business casual (slacks and polo/blouse) is appropriate. Good luck everyone! Hope to meet some of you on Sept 19th if not till December in orientation!!!
  9. I want to do mine ASAP but I wont be able to do so until Thursday/Friday ughh. Also what are you wearing for the interview? Someone suggested to dress-up professionally, what do ya'll think? @theknittynurse, do you mind posting later on today on how did the interview go and perharps what kind of questions they asked?! I wanted to check yesterday, but I did not because I was afraid it will use up one my retake chances. Also, I remember reading you can only view questions as you go, rather than all at once. Good luck!
  10. @rollystone69 I'm about to look at the questions right now. Once you open the link and register, you are given exactly 5 days from that point to complete and submit all 6 questions.
  11. I also received an email today. I'm so excited!!!
  12. Has anyone been contacted by LSU about the application fee and form we must directly submit to them? Also, does anyone know what comes first, interviews or proctor essay?
  13. I am submitting my application today! Getting a little nervous about this application process. Yes, hope we all get in! Good luck!
  14. They will take the highest grade. Just make sure he makes a note on the application that the course will be taken during the summer or fall. I do know that for the past few cohorts the avg HESI score has been 86-88%. But again that is the avg and it does not mean applicants with lower scores don't get accepted. The average can vary from cohort to cohort. Check previous threads, sometimes they post their numbers once accepted. Past applicants have recommended to do very well on both the essay and interview questions. Just because one has outstanding GPA/HESI scores does not guarantee one will be accepted. Good luck!
  15. I skipped the learning and personality sections because I didn't think they were required, and I only completed the critical thinking section. I verified with LSU, they said that aside from math/english/science subjects they only require critical thinking. The test itself is really not that bad. I made an 88% overall. The HESI is taken at a testing center not at LSU. It takes couple days to get your appointment scheduled; I would suggest signing-up on Elsevier ASAP. Prometric will then send you an email 1-2 days after requesting an appointment on Elsevier. Test dates should now be available for the month of June. This link has all the instructions to scheduling your test. Good luck! https://nursing.lsuhsc.edu/Docs/Louisiana%20State%20University%20HSC%20Distance%20Testing%20Instructions.pdf
