hi everyone!
let me go into a little history....i graduated in december 07', and will be taking the nclex-pn on april 2nd in florida. my program was an outstanding program, with over 95% passing rates with the nclex. the school is very highly regarded, and it is nearly impossible to get into....
so............why am i feeling like every, single thing i learned i have forgotten??? i'm panic stricken, as i begin my new job on a med-surg neuro floor. i did follow a tech for two weeks, just to get some hours in while awaiting my att, and i'm glad i did that, but i am really freaking myself out!
in clinicals, so many procedures were far and few between, and we were lucky to get three foleys!
i did end up doing two foleys, and consider myself smart, (not one of "those" in the nursing class that you wonder how they ever made it past 5th grade!)--- had plenty of injections, and other things like insulin, med passes, etc. etc.
i did receive a well rounded education, but i am still just totally freaking out.
i'm worried about.....well....i'm not even sure what the hell i'm worried about, i'm just afraid of doing my first "procedure"---whatever it may be....
my memory is not the best, and i'm afraid i've forgotten my drugs, and se's...ugh!
tell me, is this a normal feeling? does everyone feel like they've forgotten everything they ever learned???
any advice would be much appreciated!
i begin with my preceptor april 1st...wish me memory! lol!
thanks guys!

LOL, read our thread on Hospitals suck at orientation. Maybe that will clue you in as to why you feel so panicked!
