Hello,

I would recommend you scour the want ads for a local law firm who is seeking an in house consultant. Interview with them and be very prepared. Let them know that you prefer to consult as opposed to work in house and be sure to tell them they can recover your fee's if they are successful (plaintiff's).

Start with firms that focus on med-mal. Attorney's love free and useful information- so find some and share it with them. This can be anything from a guideline update to an interesting news story about a recent healthcare topic.

Be very confident and stress your nursing experience. Be sure to understand proximate cause and think of ways that you can demonstrate this effectively in your interview. A major defecit that I see in LNC's is that some just don't understand this. The attorney does not want to have to teach you this.

Good Luck!
