Need help as we have to raise money for the cost of our pinning banquet!
I have thought of raffling off equipment such as a stethoscope, BP cuff, etc. as we would gte pre nursing and 1st year students as well as ourselves. Hoping to get someone to donate the things!
Any other ideas- we have to raise a few thousand and we only have a class of 15 with 9 more coming in this fall (to do LPN-RN).
Thanks!

Why do you need so much money?? Could it be less fancy? We sold candy (buy a big pack at Costco and sell them for $1 each). We also ordered t-shirts and sweatshirts with our school name and nursing on them and sold them. We did some 50/50 raffles in class (we had around 40 people). We still only raised a couple of thousand and had a very nice ceremony with minimal catering--most people want to go home to their own party anyway. Good luck.

We got together and had a multi-family yard sale. About half the class chipped in and we were able to raise over $1100 in 4 hours.
Good Luck!:smiley_ab

Depending on how much time you have and how much you need to raise; how about a fashion show with a scrub theme?
Or, along the linen of raffling off stethascopes etc, In the past we have found that chinese auctions raise much more money than regular auctions or raffles.

Just a thought.....
One of our local hospitals "sponsered" our event. They take it out of their recruitment budget, I guess. Its brilliant if you ask me! Maybe you could find a hospital that would consider the same. If not, perhaps they would provide the flowers, or a Nursing Agency might be willing. The "payback" to the hospital is that they were named as a sponser on the program. I work for that hospital now,so I guess it worked! They recruited me!

Wow, that's alot of dough for a pinning ceremony.
We made up themed baskets and sold raffle tickets a couple weeks before and during the ceremony. "Beach Basket", "Night at the movies", "Garden Basket"...etc. Each clinical group was responsible for a "theme". We had over 60 people in our class though.
