Boise State University Spring 2021

Published

I created this page to hopefully bring all/some of the prospective Pre-Nursing students of BSU together. This is also for questions and knowledge about the program. I personally have applied for the BSN program at BSU for Spring 2021.

Anyone else apply for Spring?

@AmberDickey I would see if you could apply to Lewis Clark State college also. They are basically like BSU and have similar requirements. Either school would be smart to take a pathophysiology class at and apply to their nursing program.

Thank you CT2018. I will check it out.

@AmberDickey I’m from Northern California and I’m planning to apply to the program. I’m hoping to start making friends before applying ! Does anyone know how much rent is around the area or if the dorms will be accepting applications ?!

Hi Daisy-

I am from Modesto. Where are you from? Unfortunately, I am not able to apply this application period because I was not able to get into pathophysiology. I am super bummed but things happen for reasons. I am not sure how much rent is. Any advice on where I can take pathophysiology would be great. Good luck and I hope you get in. Hopefully, I will make it next time.

Smiles,
Amber

Hello!

My name is Chantal. Rent depends on how big you would like the place or which city you live in. But I have seen places for for as low as $500. I am not sure about the dorms as I have lived off campus. But zillow and websites like that are very helpful.

I hope that helped!

@amberdickey I took pathophysiology at Evergreen community college in San Jose. If you decide to take it there pick Garry Johnson as your professor he's amazing.

@CT2018 thank you Chantal for your reply, Ill look into it (:

Thank you Daisy

Hey guys!

I just had a few quick question on the application process.

Do they count classes that you withdrew from and was issued a "W" grade against you?

&

Do they ask how many times you have repeated a class? If so, do they count that against you as well?

Also- Have any of you heard back on if you were accepted into the program? What was your GPA when you applied?

I don't know 100% for sure. But, I do know that every other program I have applied for will count withdrawals and repeat classes against you IF they are the core pre reqs for nursing school. You can find that list on the Boise State website.

It is too early for acceptance letters to go out. Application for Spring 2021 just ended Oct 1st-website says 4-6 weeks after deadline they will send out emails. I think my nursing GPA (which is the GPA of the core prerequisite classes), is like 3.8

CHECK YOUR EMAILS!!!!!!

Just got an admission letter

Didn't get into BSU. But I am an alternate for LCSC!

Sorry you didn't get into BSU. But I know you were hoping for LCSC anyways. I hope you get it!!
