Bohecker College in Ohio

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hi everyone. I'm thinking about attending Bohecker College in Ohio for the LPN to RN transition. Does anyone know about this program or have attended. I'm looking for a good transition program. I have a meeting set up with them next week, but just was wondering if anyone had any info about them before the meeting. Someone told me they are really expensive. Not sure if this is true or not. Thanks ahead for any info, Rachael

Can't help you there, sorry. It's a new school in the area. I would check in to its accreditation and to see if the credits will transfer if you choose to go on and get your BSN. There is one of the new schools around that offers the RETS tech program and I don't think those credits will transfer to a BSN program. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I'm at Sinclair in Dayton.

I'm going to RETS in Dayton and at orientation they did tell us that Bohecker College was one of their new schools. But sorry, that's all I know about it :(

I am attending Bohecker in Cincinnati and as far as we have been told our credits will transfer on to a BSN program. Bohecker itself only has the LPN and ADN program, but according to our paperwork they have an agreement with Kettering for BSN. I am not sure how much transfers to other BSN programs. Bohecker Cincinnati is accredited but I think it may show up under RETS School of Nursing or something like that on the board site.

Just a FYI, I am not sure but I heard that Bohecker lost there accredation in Ohio and that all transfers will NOT be valiad. Not sure how true. But I went there for application and admsision and to me they are very sells like and

I didn't get a warm feeling. was advised that once Bohecker students gradurate they will not be able to be placed

for work. I would just check everything out before you sign on the dotted line.

Hey I was wondering about Bohecker College (Cincinnati Campus) nursing school. I went in for a visit and tour. It looked like a very nice place. Im in the process of getting enrolled in the August day classes but before I complete everything I wanted to see how people like it. Ive heard bad things about this school but from my visit it doesnt seem like a bad school. I want to hear from someone who is attending this school for an honest opinion.

Thanks

I want to do their evening rn program but I worry about if my credits will transfer.

Im not sure if they credits transfer either. They may have something set up wit certain colleges. I do daycare so my hours might change and I might be going to the night classes. I will probably know for sure in June or July

has anyone heard anything good or bad about hondros or bohecker ? thank you

I have heard bad reviews on Hondros College. I actually had a visit to Bohecker College and loved it. I am going to take my hesi test on tuesday. I would visit them both because you know what you are looking for and seeing them both will help you make a decision. I had set an appointment to go the information night at Hondros and to visit Bohecker. Went to Bohecker and didnt want to check out Hondros. As of right now I will be attending Bohecker's night classes in August.

2 of the nurses I work with did go to Bohecker in Columbus and were told once they were in deep for around $7000 that they lost their accreditation due to low pass rates, I think they may be on probationary approval now but anytime this happens it is a red flag to me and I avoid any association with any new schools like them. Columbus State, Mt. Carmel, scholls that have been around for awhile are the ones I always feel are the best bet, why be the guinea pig for a school ? And just so you know when a school oses their accreditation the people who have obtained their degrees from there are essentially stuck

I would be careful because I was going to go here but checked out the board of ohio's website and theirs is the only one NOT listed on there as being an accredited school. Also... I know someone who is in the medical assisting program there right now and the board came in beginning of year and got rid of a whole bunch of staff. On top of that...... you won't be able to do your internship at Children's Hospital (and one other... I forget which one) because of some of the students messing up. They lost their spot with two hospitals so I would be careful.
