Hi there! I just completed AP I and plan to submit my checklist soon in the hopes of taking HESI 2 this December. I currently have a 3.83 GPA for my PCI’s (I have A’s in everything but AP I for which I received a B+). I hope to do well on the HESI and be accepted to the Nursing program for the Spring of 2023 day program. I wanted to touch base with other people here who plan on doing the same so we can exchange tips and even work together if some of us get accepted to the same program. I look forward to speaking with everyone!

I’m sorry to hear that! ;(
This was a very competitive class. I got a 94.5 and received an email, while a classmate of mine who got a 94.375 did not. It really came down to the wire. If I’m not mistaken (and correct me if I’m wrong), but I believe there is a waitlist in case there are those who were accepted and they are unable to start the program. Don’t lose hope!

oh wow so many students who were very close did not get in, yes I heard about the waitlist but who knows, thank you for sharing it made me feel better LOL :') I thought the cut off would be 90% like last Spring. Many students with 85's and 3.8's got in last semester!

Yes, and please order ahead, they have to put the embroidery on them and they take ages to come. be very careful with sizing its not stretchy.
Also, don't buy the bandage shears, just the uniform and the penlight. I havent used the scissors at all. in all semesters. stethoscope and penlight is all you need, there is also the clinical folding pad on amazon get the one that folds in three its easier to write in clinicals.

Oh that sucks, they’re so ugly. ?
I saw some former students selling their scrubs on Poshmark and Mercari, but theirs were from Cherokee and they look a lot nicer. ☹️
If the scrubs are embroidered with BMCC but they’re from Cherokee, do you think that would be okay? I went ahead and ordered the bundle someone was selling on Poshmark because it was my size and super cheap compared to new, but now I’m worried mine would look different. Thoughts from current students?

How many pairs are you ladies planning on purchasing? Y'all think two is enough?

They have to be the school color, you don't wanna be sent home and take a clinical absence in the middle of the semester those uniforms from flyn o hara takes ages. You are only allowed once to be absent the next time you are absent you automatically fail the class and will repeat again. I've seen students sent home with the wrong shoe color. and one student failed the course cause she was late twice.
Remember guys you only get two life line in the program for the whole 2 years. and in fundamentals you can only withdraw. and if you fail once in fundamentals and fail again you are out of the program, and the following semester you are only allowed to use a NC. opting for NC you need 77 to pass the repeat semester.
Save the headache, and get the school uniform. they are embroided in the pants and in the front with the school logo.

2 is enough when I had it, cause sometimes you just don't wanna do laundry. LOL

Hey there, if I'm not mistaken, I believe you guys will be contacted over the Summer in June or July for the zoom orientation explaining how to move forward if you're accepted and then those in the day program have to attend an in person lottery for the afternoon/morning sections before the semester starts.
