Bmcc nursing spring 2019 applicant

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey there, i was just wondering if anyone is planning on apply to the bmcc nursing for spring of 2019.

Sooo there are 81 seats... I'm dying to know about many people too the exam. I would like to know my chances.

There are only 4 test sessions. So I would assume a little over 100 people take the exam. Ah this wait is going to eat me everyday!

81 seats for both day and evening combined?

I believe so!

As long as your accumulative is over 65 you're fine. So the fact you got a 60 in science is fine.

Good luck to you! I have a strong feeling you'll get in. Your Kaplan numbers are great!

I took my Kaplan test today for the afternoon session. Anyone have to deal with our proctor being late? One student kind of got our class panicked and called the nursing department and some person there told us our test was actually in the main building. Only to get there and they told us to go back to Fitterman where the proctor showed up @ like 1:20. Many of us didn't start our exams until like 45 mins in. There wasn't even enough seats/computers for a few students. Just a mess.

Anyway, I got an 85% over all. Did pretty well in the first 3 sections R: 95, M:93 W:86 and straight bombed the science with a 60 LOL I really hope that each section doesn't have to be over a 65 cause then I'm screwed. I was SO hungry and tired after getting their early and running back and forth between test buildings that I totally rushed it at the end. Could have done better. The math was also wayyy easier than I imagined. Writing was very different than what the Kaplan prep book was testing in.

Took the exam today got a 89 on the Kaplan! SO nervous!!

Thanks so much! I just read that it was cumulative on the exam overview study guide they gave out so I feel much better. My pre-req GPA is a 4.0 and cumulative for all the other required AAS classes is like a ~3.85 so I'm feeling pretty good about getting in but who knows how it'll be. This is the only program i applied to and I work full-time so I applied for the evening/weekend program.

Does anyone know people who are currently in the program or recently graduated in the past few years? I'd really like to know their thoughts on what they think of the program/what to expect.

They had 4 sessions (in terms of time), but another group was taking the test at the same time as my group. Perhaps 8 different groups took the test? I'm not sure though. I'm super nervous too!

Oh wow I see. Maybe they were just placed in different rooms. Well let's see how this plays out. I got a 70 and I have a 3.8. I'm on the fence with getting in and I really hope I do!
