BMCC nursing fall 2016

Published

Hello everyone,

I passed the dreaded KAPLAN exam on June 2nd and I would like to begin communication with other fall 2016 nursing hopefuls.

My Kaplan score overall was a 79% i hope it's enough to get into the program

Hi Rnm0208, Thank you. Did you use any other study guides? What was the exams look like? - multiple choice, fill in, etc.

Exams are multiple choice (50questions). Questions are very tricky, most of them scenarios and you have apply what you learned. The best way to succeed is doing a lot of practice questions.I bought PreU which have a lot questions of every chapter , it's very helpful.

Hi everyone! I am applying for the nursing program in the spring session. Can anyone give me some tips to study for the Kaplan exam? Thanks!

What study guide did you use to study from. Do you have the isbn number by any chance

Hey gang!

I plan on taking the Kaplan entrance exam later this fall and was wondering which study guides/books/websites or any resources yall have used and felt were the most helpful in helping you pass the exam.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Just looking for some general advise on which study guide to use for the Kaplan Entrance exam. I'll be taking it in Dec. and need all the help I can get. Any wise suggestions for those who took it in June and Passed?

Would you mind shedding some light on what you used to study for the Kaplan? I'm kind of at a loss and really want to do well? Any suggestions? What did you use, if you dont mind me asking.

All of you are great inspiration/motivation I'm actually starting to study for the kaplan entrance exam in BMCC I will be taking the test on fall 2017 any tips, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm a new member to this blog 🤗

Please share any KAP study tactics, it'd mean so much.

Hi Everyone, I've taken HESI in 2014 in BMCC, missed it by 10%, then transferred to CityTech in 2015 and did TEAS V, got a score of 60.4, I know it was low, I read HESI and TEAS V over and over again and obviously I was doing something wrong. Last year I found St. Paul's SON, I took prep classes for HESI and took their test over the Summer. Requirement for test was only English and Math. I PASSED with min. requirement of 80 for both Math and English, big accomplishment! 2 weeks after I found out my application was declined because other students had higher scores than me and found my self back to square one. I was very upset..... I found another school and attended to an Adelphi open house, they agree to review my TEAS V score, as is Proficient and got my credits reviewed. They recommended I retake Microbiology since I have a C, and additional classes because is for a Bachelors Degree. Since CityTech was not allowing me to retake Micro, I transferred back to BMCC only to find out the new test is KAPLAN. I purchased the book already and going through it. My Application was reviewed at Adelphi a few weeks ago and they only waiting for my score for this semester. I want to take the KAPLAN test, to see how it goes, I have my math and English notes, but I'm rusty in Science and Chemistry, I'm a bit scared. Before I left CityTech, I completed pre-req's for both Associates and Bachelors and am 3 credits shy for an Associates in Liberal Arts. I heard now testing is done at the end of the semester so we have more time to study. Recommendations for a successful Score??? Thank you.
