Hi guys,
Entering BMCC as a transfer for Spring 2019. Anyone here applying for Fall 2019 candidacy? Do you know when we apply for the candidacy? When are registrations for Fall opening? Do you know how strong the competition normally is?

Second, after you have completed your pre-reqs they will review them and also have available any and all college transcripts, they want to see them. This is all before the Kaplan test. They will then tell you when the exam is ( usu end of semester and it’s free ). Then you will find out in 3 or 4 weeks if you are accepted or not. Hope this helps. Any more questions email me, [email protected]
tired like everyone, had clinicals today, now back to studying, midterms next week
@glenrubin thanks for the feedback! Hope the program is doing good! So, we'd have to submit all transcripts from the beginning of our college careers? Wow! But at least with CUNY, that's easy to acquire. My biggest question is really when we can apply. I heard from some, we can after pre-reqs and others stated that we can only after a full semester after we complete pre-reqs so it gets confusing.
Thanks for the info and will def. reach out. Good luck on midterms!
@glenrubin ours too! thank God. So you took the Kaplan they administered in December then? You applied for Spring or Fall program? By the end of Spring sem. I would have all my pre-reqs already so just trying to see how to plan the rest of the year depending on which entry I can apply too.
And yes, thanks! all the info totally helps ?

@glenrubin thanks! that's great, should leave me with enough time to study for the Kaplan for December since my school load come summer is pretty light. Hopefully, I do get in ?Again... truly appreciate all the info.
Good luck on the rest of the classes ?

Hi I am taking the exam in three weeks time and I am trying best to pass this exam but I want to ask you what was your score in the exam pre req gpa and any study guide, questions or tips you may have for it. It would be really appreciated
Hi guys! Just a quick question, I currently just finished spring semester and have all pre-reqs done by now. Just taking the small classes (SPE and Dev. Psych) in the summer and submit my application this fall. Do you know how the GPA for Pre-reqs. and the rest are calculated? I have Eng 101 A- but they also took my Eng 201 grade and that's an A, then I got As on both Psy 100 and Mat 104 but then my A&P I got a B+. How do I calculate the total for that?
I know this is an old thread but I have a very important question about the program. If one is taking microbiology in the fall is she allowed to take Kaplan exam same semester for spring 2020 also I'm. going for the night program and I'm confused about whether I can sign up for a test date
@nr92 from what I was told by the dept., if you are applying to the night/weekend program, you need to have ENG 101, MAT 104, PSY 100, BIO 425, BIO 426, BIO 420 and either PSYCH 240 or SOC 100 completed and then, the semester after, you can go into the dept. (7th floor) to submit your checklist to be registered to take the test.

How much is tuition for BMCC nursing ?
Before I answer your question, most of my classmates are getting their tuition and other expenses paid through Federal and State financial aid programs AND are pocketing money (some several thousand dollars) per semester. I.m a state/city resident and I paid $1699 for Fall 2019 semester, I went. to college before and used up my. eligibility for those programs I mentioned earlier. The college also offers several 'success' programs that help financially with books, transportation and tutoring services. I just found out. today that. I may be eligible for some assistance from a private philanthropic fund for nursing students. If you are paying out of your. pocket remember this is an investment in your future and nursing jobs are in high demand. I have companies/hospitals approaching me to contact them just before I graduate. Work on your prerequisites, it is competitive to get in but once in, everyone is supportive and wants your success. Good luck but study hard. Glen ([email protected])

@jessicayun23 you too, all the best! They do offer SPE100 online this summer if that's something that fits your schedule. It might be easier to complete that then. I know for the Night/Evening schedule, you need to complete a lot more than what is needed for day time due to time constraints. I think they have a pdf online if you search that states the specific classes you need to already have to apply. Are you apply to Night/Weekend Fall 2019?
