Bloomfield College Pre-Nursing Students

Hello To all,

I haven't been on this website for awhile feels good to be back . I just took my Teas Exam last week and passed thankfully. I thought I was going to get a higher score but I am still happy I passed. I have to wait until the middle of June to see if I get accepted to Bloomfield College nursing program for the Fall of 2015. I am excited and scared being that there is a lot of students to choose from, but I have hope. However, is always good to have a Plan B I have been struggling with searching for schools here in NJ that will accept my teas scores, if anyone knows some please comment below or have any advice it will be helpful. Thank you so much for your info regarding the program. As of my pre reqs I have all of them and i am at the point where i just have to take the teas and pray i get a good score to be considered for the program. Also would you say the teas is difficult ? What is mainly on the test. Thank you and sorry for the bother.

It's no problem, I'm here to help. As for the teas, it's kind of hard to tell you how to prepare for it. It's a very broad test, so when you study for it you don't need to qet into all the details of everything . The hardest part is the Science part because of the fact that they can literally test you on something as simple as erosion or something a lot harder. I remember when I took mine, they gave me a lot of chemistry questions and I hadn't even taken chemistry yet. However, I did a lot of breaking down questions and making educated quesses. luckily , they combine all of the sections to give you a final score. So if you do bad in the Science section, it'll just be combined with the other sections.

If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you apply for this fall semester?

I didnt go this semester because I want to have better control of my anxiety before going into the program. Also I am just learning to drive so by next year i know I will have it down and l want to have a stable support system when it comes to having someone watch my children while im in school. Last but not least i want to set up a system for my daughter where she will be able to have the exact things she needs when it it comes to therapy and education since she is visually impaired in one eye and legally blind in the other. I know that i wont be able to spend as much time with her and im usually the one who does the teaching at home. I want to make sure that she is set when i start school.

By the way thank you for the info regarding the teas i think they sell something in the bookstore if im not mistaken which is a study prep for the teas. Im going to look into it..

Oh okay . I pray everything works out for you and all things fall into place. The book I used for a study guide I purchased from Amazon for like $20 . It was pretty good in tellig you exactly what you need to know and not all the extra fluff .

Nonetheless, if you ever have any questions I'm here to answer any and all of them. Don't hesitate.

I've seen you in orientation!! If you have time I would love to speak with you I had my first classes of NUR215 and NUR235 and I'm completely overwhelmed with the reading!! Professor sverski assigned reading for 235 but the powerpoints say exactly what's on the reading should I keep reading or just follow the powerpoints before class and make my notes while skimming the chapter?? ������������������ I'm stressing the hell out already!!
