Bloomfield College Pre-Nursing Students

Hello To all,

I haven't been on this website for awhile feels good to be back :cheeky:. I just took my Teas Exam last week and passed thankfully. I thought I was going to get a higher score but I am still happy I passed. I have to wait until the middle of June to see if I get accepted to Bloomfield College nursing program for the Fall of 2015. I am excited and scared being that there is a lot of students to choose from, but I have hope. However, is always good to have a Plan B I have been struggling with searching for schools here in NJ that will accept my teas scores, if anyone knows some please comment below or have any advice it will be helpful. Thank you :)

ok good so that means I will get the uniforms way before.. yeah they always say a longer time but is much faster. and same here I need to get shoes, which I wanted to get elsewhere..do you know where your going to get yours? & the books is only 2 books for each class correct? total 4books right. & regarding attire I am guessing professional right, we cant wear uniforms until first day of school.

I was going to go to Scrubs and Beyond for my shoes. They have a bigger selection and I think they're more reasonably priced. I found some that looks just like the ones they want us to buy, I just want to go to the store and try them on.

Yes, 4 books in total. Are you taking Chemistry this semester?

You don't need to be dressed any type of way. From what I remember. Just don't show up in your uniform like this girl did last year . Lol embarrassing. But uniform takes like a week or two and the first week you won't have lab yet any way you should be ok.

And shoes need to be white with no laces and closed back No CLOGS like crocs

I don't think so, on the paper listing everything we have to have done prior to orientation it says that the first class meeting is Tuesday sept 1st

Yes because the Nursing classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays , so Sept. 1st is the first Tuesday. But labs would start on the 31st. . .what I'm sayin makes sense in my head , I don't know if I'm conveying it right.

More than likely you won't have lab Monday from previous experience. I would ask at orientation. But last year I had Monday lab and we did not have lab before class :)

can I really rent the books? that's what I was doing but they told me not too cause I will need them the following semesters...cant I just re rent them. the prices of the bookstore is ridiculous!!!

It's best to buy the books for Nur 235 because we use the potter and perry book thoughtout the entire program and it will end up costing you more to keep having to rent the book every semester

I would suggest buying used copies of the required textbooks. That's what I do for the program and I feel better knowing that it's mine, and I can highlight and put notes in it if necessary. Buy them online, the bookstore always has insane prices.
