Blood Transfusion

Why is blood bag covered during blood transfusion? Is there any reaction of light in the clotting process of blood?

I need answer aa soon aa possible. I have exam tomorrow. Please help!!

Sorry,

never had to cover bag ,but sometimes some areas may use a warmer ,

or a pressure sleeve to help it go in better.
