Hey all,
Just applied for Blinn college's spring 2017 nursing program. I just wanted to get some more info on how long it will take to find out if I'm in or not. Also if you were or are in Blinn's nursing school and have any tips or any insight about how it is that would be very helpful! Thanks!! :)
They will receive an acceptance letter in December in the mail along with the provisionals. All 60-65 final acceptance letters go out in December. Provisional emails only to the top half.
So for those who didn't get a provisional acceptance, they will find out in December if they are accepted or an alternate? I never attended an info session either so i'm confused about the whole process.
From my understanding they are accepting 60-65. the top 30 got their provisional acceptances already. All 60-65 will get official acceptances "probably in November" according to the email response I got.
Maybe I'm missing it, but what would be the reasoning for accepting 1/2 now and the others later? I've applied to 10 different nursing programs over the last couple years and this is the only one done this way. It doesn't really matter to me, but my curiosity is peaked.
So I didn't get a provisional acceptance:( I got into an accelerated program and another RN program, but there is no way I can afford to move so I have been praying for Blinn. I am still pretty confused about how many people are getting admitted? I got an email about getting my fingerprints completed, so does that mean I'm possibly an alternate? 30 spots compared to 60 is a HUGE difference.
