BlackBoard Quiz for Ivy Tech due today...can you get on blackboard?

Just wondering if anyone else out there has already taken the vital signs quiz that is due today by 11:55pm???

I've been trying for 2 days now and cannot get onto blackboard! Keeps saying it is responding too slowly! This is getting ridiculous! and on top of that I can't get into the library to write the paper during the only extra time I have.

BB is back. I was able to log on and take my quiz about 20 minutes ago.

I can't access any of my courses now. When I try to select a course to view the contents, I get this message:

An error occurred. Contact the System Administrator.

The Blackboard system for students is experiencing systems issues today. You will be able to log in to Blackboard but you will not be able to view any course content other than announcements and discussions. The technical staff are working with the vendor to restore service. Senior staff are meeting with the vendor to explore all available options for stabilizing Blackboard.

They need to work faster. LOL

The only thing I can suggest when you get that error is hit refresh. If that doesn't work, close out BB, and go back in with a new Internet Explorer window. Try going directly to Blackboard instead of through Campus Connect.

BB is an antiquated system. they need to use what other campuses with online use instead of that dinosaur BB.

^^ Gosh do you just complain about Ivy Tech all day? I've not seen one nice post from you. All of us know how it can be, but at half the price of IUPUI even, its something we deal with.

Other schools use Blackboard, NOT just Ivy Tech, and its a lot of major universities. Its more like the server its ran off of.

I can say only a few good things about the Ivy Tech nursing program: the students and most of the faculty are awesome! The instructors have an AMAZING amount of experience and really know their stuff!

The leadership leaves lots to be desired, however. Two things that stand out to me in the leadership of that progam are never making time for current students and only having 2 hours a week for potential nursing student advising. That is downright crazy!
