  1. current and former, if that makes sense.
  2. i would not recommend saving co-reqs until the end, the final 2 semesters of nursing classes are REALLY hard! i would say, if you elect to not take some nursing classes in the summer, i would squeeze them in. you might only be in class for 10 weeks instead of 16 but you will be less worried about those co-reqs and concentrate more on nursing classes. spanish is a GREAT filler class since the Hispanic/Latino population is ever growing, this will prove useful. you might also take some medical spanish classes too, to hone in the understanding even more.
  3. this sounds more like issues with student services. have you thought about talking to the dean of students or the dean of health sciences? maybe let them know.
  4. when taking the TEAS, look at the subject headings under each section (for instance, verbal reasoning, algebra, etc.) and study up on those sections that caused the deficiency. no use studying all over again what you excelled in before. that way, you only study the problem areas.
  5. I can say only a few good things about the Ivy Tech nursing program: the students and most of the faculty are awesome! The instructors have an AMAZING amount of experience and really know their stuff! The leadership leaves lots to be desired, however. Two things that stand out to me in the leadership of that progam are never making time for current students and only having 2 hours a week for potential nursing student advising. That is downright crazy!
  6. i don't know about everywhere else but in indy, your schedule is never final. they make considerations and changes right up until the week before classes. they change dates, times, instructors, and sites for clinical all the time. students are also allowed to trade with other students, which really messes things up. it's unfair.
  7. BB is an antiquated system. they need to use what other campuses with online use instead of that dinosaur BB.
  8. i would say make sure ALL transcripts are official. 40 students were denied admission on that basis last semester i heard.
  9. BAD idea to take ANY lab class online.
  10. if you go to any ivy tech, avoid indy like the plague. they let people in their programs with low scores and they play favorites.
