Hello,
I was recently accepted in to the BAT program at Binghamton University. I was wondering if anyone else had heard/if any alums of the program could shed some light on the pros/cons of it. I also have an offer from niagara university and would like a reason, other than tuition costs, to help with the decision. Hope someone picks up on the thread! Look forward to hearing from you!
Whoops! I was trying to "reply" just to the person living in Ithaca. Regarding the original post--I've also heard that the program is intense but that you get breaks, and that it's the fastest way to a bachelor's in this part of NY. I have also heard that you don't get quite as much clinical as other programs, simply because the program is so short, but most of the nurses I've spoken with say you learn what you really need to know once you're on the job. I don't know anything about the program at Niagara-perhaps you could visit both places and see where you feel more "at home." Congratulations everyone and to those of you who end up attending Binghamton, I look forward to meeting you!
Hey everyone! I recently came across this page from e-mails and noticed you guys are already making a group for the upcoming year! congrats to everyone that was accepted! I am a current bat student and LOVING it. It is most definitely NOT easy but very doable. If you guys have ANY questions feel free to ask! I am quite busy this semester so I will try my best to answer in a timely manner but we had people from the program answering our questions and I thought I'd return the favor! I did do my undergrad at Binghamton so I know quite a bit about the area and the university!
good luck to those still waiting!!

Hi-I'm also living in Ithaca and was just accepted into the program as well. I'm planning to stay here and commute to Binghamton. If you decide to stay in Ithaca, perhaps we could consider carpooling sometimes. Congrats on your acceptance!
