Hi Y'all,
I saw an ad for one of those bili-check machines and thought "What a great idea!" and have been trying to find the research to present it to our head neo but then I started wondering if anybody out there is actually using this in their unit or is it strictly more a mother-baby thing? It just seems like it would save our wee ones heels a few sticks, particularily for the bigger preemie who is basically stable. Thanks

At a conference I went to, IIRC, they aren't recommended for preemies, only full termers.

Yep, we use them all the time for our bigger kiddos, not the preemies. We've found them to be pretty accurate, give or take 1-2.
