Jul 20, 201015 yr Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am going to take my PSB-RN at St. Margarets!! So glad it is going to be over. I am soo sick of thinking about it! :)
Jul 25, 201015 yr I was there too, sitting toward the back. So how do you think you did? Wasn't too bad, was it? I barely got the reading done on time; other than that, fairly easy?
Jul 26, 201015 yr Author No, it was easier than I thought it was going to be. The study books are nothing like the test. I was sitting in the far section by windows, second row back. I am anticipating my results, this waiting is for the birds!! LOL!! This whole process is so long, and I am not good at waiting!! I guess I am going to learn!! I hope I did as well as I feel I did. I had plenty of time to finish the sections, that was the main thing I was worried about beforehand. Good luck to you!!!!
Jul 26, 201015 yr Good luck to you too! Keep in touch; I will post once I get my results. I already took the Pax and I'm really pleased with my results on that....let's hope for the best on this one also. Are you applying to Shadyside also? I was surprised that they gave us more time on the sections than the test booklet guidelines. I wonder if Shadyside will accept this taking towards their application too?!
Jul 26, 201015 yr Author Yes, you can transfer the results to Shadyside. They are good for 2 years. I called about a month ago just to make sure. I am applying to Shadyside as well. I am also applying to BC3 because it an easy commute, but it is not my first choice. I guess I will take what I get.
Jul 26, 201015 yr Author and YES, my eyes lit UP when she said that they were giving us more time than what the book stated!! I was thanking my lucky stars!! LOL!! :dancgrp:
Aug 3, 201015 yr Author Okay, tomorrow will be two weeks since the PSB, I am dying here. I can't even imagine what I am going to be like once I apply and then waiting for the real important piece of mail, the acceptance letter!!!
Aug 3, 201015 yr Its one of the worssst feelings in the world waiting for the results and even more worse waiting for your acceptance letter!!I took my test on 3-24 and got my results back 4-8 so it was just a little over 2 weeks!!GOOD LUCK!!:)
Aug 4, 201015 yr Well I got my scores today from St. Margaret along with a congratulation letter telling me that I can apply! AA:99th, Spelling 96, Reading Comprehension, 99th; Natural Science 95th; VA 98th. On second page, it show a chart, Verbal (I assume this is what Shadyside is calling Vocabulary?) 98; Arithmetic (Mathematics?) 99; Nonverbal 97; AA total 99; Spelling 96; Reading Comprehension 99; Info in Natural Sciences 95.The part I was really happy about (and surprised!) was Reading Comprehension, because I barely got done with the questions in time, but it turns out I got 39/40.Anyone else get their results?!Good luck to everyone! Tmowery, I have a feeling you did great. :)

Shadyside?
Aug 5, 201015 yr Author I got my results and they are up and down. I don't know if it will be enough. Verbal 90Arithmetic 75nonverbal 97academic aptitude 92reading comp 97natural sciences 75I don't know what happened to me on the math questions. I think that I totally freaked out about running out of time!
Aug 6, 201015 yr I think your scores are actually quite good :) Those are solid numbers all the way around. Your academic aptitude score is really good especially. I talked to someone in one of my classes today about his scores (he was at the same testing as I was, sitting right in front of me, in fact) and he didn't make the 65th percentile required. So don't feel badly. Test scores are by no means a be-all, end-all. I'm planning on applying to St Margaret, Shadyside and CCAC. I'd really love to go to UPMC, either one; Shadyside is closer to my house, though, so it would be more convenient for me.Heads up: If you want to apply to CCAC for spring 2011, the deadline is the end of this month to apply. I'm getting my application together now- mainly just waiting on my official grades from my CCAC summer classes. The big problem for me right now is that the admissions officer at Shadyside told me the application deadline for Spring is going to be Dec 15, which could present timing conflicts because if I'm accepted to CCAC, I will have to have made a decision whether or not to attend CCAC before the I will have even found it if I was accept to Shadyside! What am I to do? IDK. I could gamble and hope I'm accept to Shadyside by turning down CCAC, or I could just take what I can get and go to CCAC and then run the risk of missing out on Shadyside. And then throw into the equation StMarg and it all becomes more complex.Yes, I want to start nursing school in the Spring. Was thinking the March start date for Shadyside. I think St. Margaret starts in Feb. And CCAC starts in Jan. My only concern with St Marg is that they have a low completion rate, and I don't know exactly why that is. Keep in touch! I hope everything goes great for you!
