BHSN: Applying to Bridgeport Hosp for Fall 2013

Hi All,

I thought I would start a new topic for those of us who are planning to apply to BHSN's Nursing program for the Fall 2013.

I will get things started with my stats (which aren't great...but not too terrible!):

TEAS - 78% (planning to re-take)

GPA - 3.2 (currently)

I also applied to GWCC and Southern, so hopefully I will get into one of these programs!

JaRoJoCT: Thanks and good luck at Gateway. I plan to apply there next year if I do not get accepted this year. I have one more question. I went onto the bhsonsonisweb and its saying my account was disabled, did anyone else's get disabled that was accepted or still waiting. I am just trying to figure out what it means. If anyone can let me know it would be highly appreciated. Thanks

KristenR: Yes!! That happened to me too!! I tried to check it on Friday, but it said disabled!! Not sure what that is all about. I would try emailing the school, and ask them to reset it for you, because it's been disabled, and you can't access your account anymore, and see what they say. It might just be a technical issue on their end, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just have them reset it. Let me know how it goes! I'm pulling for you! I hope you get in.

Thanks, I feel much better now knowing that it wasn't just my account. I called them about a week ago and left a message but I still have not got a call back. I am just hoping that I get something by the end of the week and I'm sure you will be accepted since you got into Gateway. Thanks again for your help.

My applicant account was no longer working after I was accepted!!! I logged onto student and my numbers worked !! Fingers crossed for you both!! Try it!!

Nurse2bKay2012: Did you use the same pin and password for the student log in? I tried it with the same password and pin and it says disabled.

KristenR: I tried it with the same username and p/w and it worked when I clicked on the 'student' link and logged in!

JaRoJoCT: What came up when you logged in as a student? My account is activated now and I can log into the applicant space but not student. Anyway, my decision letter was sent today so I will know in the next few days. It sounds like you got in Congrats.

After I accepted the offer and sent in my deposit, my status changed from Applicant to Student. There are a bunch of tabs that you will use throughout school, like class registration, tuition, etc. But there is nothing there now because it's still too early.

So now I'm bummed!! I just got my acceptance packet from American international college with a scholarship for 10,000 a year until I complete the nursing program! That's a bachelor program! What should I do? But that school is so expensive :( confused

Nurse2bKay2012: Can you get your associates degree with BHSN and then go there to complete your bachelors?

KristenR: I already have 2 associates already so BHSn is only a diploma program for me :( although I could go to CCSU when I'm done also, and my job would pay for that! I guess it's a thought . So did you apply anywhere else ?

Nurse2bKay2012: If you can have your job pay for it after then that might be a good idea. Unless this is your dream school, then you should just go and not worry about the money until after. yes, I applied to St. Vincent's as a backup, but I will finally know today when the mail comes if I got in to BHSN so I can stop obsessing.
