Beth Israel School of Nursing, 2011/2012 Applicants? NYC

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi all - I've been reviewing the boards here for a while and thank you all for your detailed responses and information left. This board is awesome and has really helped me calm my nerves with respect to the admissions process at Beth Israel in NYC.

My apologies if a thread of this nature already exists - (i couldn't find one) -- Just wondering if any 2012 applicants are out there?? I am applying to the evening session beginning in January 2012.

I've submitted my completed package and scored an 89th percentile AD on the NLN PAX. I took the computerized version and was able to get my scores back immediately. The anticipation would have killed me otherwise. :nurse:

Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting a call or email from PBISON regarding the next step in the admission process which is the in-person interview. Fingers, Toes, and eyes are crossed!

Is anyone else out there applying for admission to the 2011/2012 entering class? Anyone further ahead in the process, perhaps you've had your interview already? I'm wondering how long to wait from the time I submitted my scores to the time of following up w/ the admissions board... I'm thinking 2 weeks is fair.?

Any comments welcome. Thanks in advance - and good luck!

When I took the picture they never asked to see the card so maybe not.

See you tonight!

The email with the registration info stated not to log in before 1pm today. Maybe that's why it didn't work.

Anyone else having problems logging on to register?

Reload the page a few times. I just finished registering. The website was dOwn all day

I didn't have an issue. Try to refresh the page over again, go to the email and click the site. Remember that it's all lowercase. Call the number, they will help you. Don't worry there are plenty of seats left.

they did not ask to see my clearance card for the id! and in terms of classes i followed the curriculum on the website for Atop students. it seems i should be taking intro and math-so thats all i signed up with with the labs and clinicals. i guess ill buy the book after orientation. or after i am confirmed with classes. any atops out there?

i see there is a math challenge exam. what do you guys know about it? do we actually get an opportunity to challenge it? would study for it these two weeks so i do not have to take it! I had also heard pharco could have been taken outside! i wish i had known!

Do you have any info on the external Pharma? I didn't know this can be taken externally. I have until Jan to get my pre and co reqs taken care of so if I can get that done I will.

Has anyone ordered textbooks yet? I have been holding off since I'm not sure what they mean by PDA required. I emailed ** about it and she said it will be explained during orientation.

a current student told me she had taken it. I recommend u ask * and find out if u can take it

Oh good. I was just wondering that too. Has anyone got anything from Financial Aid?

I heard nothing from financial aid, ripping my hair out due to the crazy amount of books :uhoh3:

Did you buy your books yet? With scoring the web mine are coming up to about $700...with no financial aid letter! :)
