Hello everyone.
I have done some research and I have heard that it is useless to pursue licensure as an lpn and to go straight for bsn. I have also heard I should go for adn, then do the bridge to bsn. I really want the most cause effective route but at the same time I want to gain experience to try to reduce environment shock. I have also read some of the best nurses started out at as CNA's and LPN's. I know the route I choose to take is personal, but I also don't want to be in a position where I am stuck at one particular facility for years. I would like to be able to grow and advance. My ultimate goal is to become a NP. I am also concerned about making a decent living in the interim. I recently accepted a job at a hospital as admin support hoping that once I complete my certification as cna, that will increase my odds of being accepted in the same facility. I am open to some sound advice and suggestions as well as personal experiences. Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

BSN and excellent references. There are several hundred applicants for a single posting more if the facility accepts inexperienced new grads. NYC is desperate for experienced (5+ years) credentialed (CCRN, OCN, etc) specialized nurses (OR, oncology, NICU/PICU/CTICU,
etc)
Thanks for your response.
