Good day nurses! :) I just have some questions about the provided white board:
My former professor told me that you have to wait till you are actually answering nclex questions BEFORE you write anything onto the board. Because once you write something and you haven't started answering, you can be charged w/ brain dumping by the pearson peeps. Is there any truth to this? Please educate me. :) When I took my 1st exam, I wasn't able to use it. But I'm planning to use it for my 2nd try, since that way, I can pace myself not to answer questions too fast. Hehe
And if ever, can you ask for additional boards, just in case you need it??
Thank you so much! God bless us all.
ADPIE-- Assess before you implement
ABC's
Don't delegate to UAP's and LPN's what you can EAT (Evaluate, Assess, Teach)
I didn't write down the lab values (NA, K, RBCs, WBCs, pH) cus I memorized and mastered them a week before the Nclex. Other than that, I wrote lines like "Breathe!! Take your time!! Take a break when you're tired! Believe!" and my favorite Bible verse Proverbs 3:5-6..
Good luck on your exam :)
@purplechicxiii- We're the same, lol. I didn't use the white board that much during my first try. 2nd time, I used the white board to break down the questions I thought were most difficult on the exam. I wrote down A B C D, and put x's on the wrong answers, and circled my best choice.
Please do not write on the board during the tutorial, you may start writing on question #1.

Haha I am still laughing when I remembered how "dumb" I was when I 1st took it, so I really envy those who passed on their 1st try. =)) Anyway, thanks for the info and tip. I guess I also won't be writing down the labs, maybe the ABCD thing will work out for me. And yes, I will remember to write down on question #1. :) Thank you so much!

Yes, you have to wait until the tutorial is over and the test have actually begun. I waited til I was on my 3rd question to "brain dump" to be on the safe side. They do not provide erasers...you must raise your hand to request for a new board...they take the old one away.
Praying for all of my fellow RNs to be:D

Thanks!! Oooh so I need to write smaller. Haha! I didn't know that! God bless us all!
I just used it to count the number of alternate questions I received (23 SATA, 3 charts, 2 Pictures, 2 put in order) out of 75.
I was going to "brain dump" but then the test started, and I just dove in.. I think I reviewed the allnurses study guide so much that it was tattooed in my brain!

in order to "brain dump" right before the test?
Any popular info/ mnemonics people use to remember stuff just before the test and write it down on the board?
